Testing method of hand switch with RJ connector

A preparation tool for hand switch RJ connector detection is mentioned in the last article Hand switch with RJ connector test method. So in this article, we will talk about the method of hand switch RJ connector testing.

 
 
Now, start to test:

(1) Keep the original hand switch in the step one status (exposure status), like the picture as follows:

(2) Let use RJ45 connector as an example

(3)Use the multimeter to test the male connector or the female connector from Pin1 to Pin8;

Operation: ① adjust the multimeter to diode detector position;

Use the multimeter red pen and black pen to test the step1 connection pins, if find the proper connection pins, the multimeter occurs buzz. Please record the connection pin numbers.

② connect the multimeter red pen to the Pin1, then use the black multimeter to test from Pin2 to Pin 9 in proper sequence;
Red Pen connect Pin1, Black Pen connect Pin2 to Pin9;
Red Pen connect Pin2, Black Pen connect Pin3 to Pin9;
Red Pen connect Pin3, Black Pen connect Pin4 to Pin9;
and so on.

(4)Keep hand switch for step 2 status;
